No problem! I can ...
No problem! I can easily admit I don't know everything...but the main gist of my channel is to offer free support in helping others learn a few things...mostly in Photoshop. My intent is to help others rather than to debate history. Many historical figures have been credited with being the inventors of a particular thing,,,but in checking further we can discover, they were not the first. I love oil painting and water colors. Caravaggio is probably my most favorite artist, too!
Maybe you should be ...
Maybe you should be a bit more open-minded. Yes this type of lighting was used by many painters but if you had ever been educated in Photography or Studio Lighting, you would have been taught how to set up this lighting as well as split lighting and other setups. You would have been taught this lighting is called "Rembrandt Lighting" regardless of who used it first. Rembrandt Lighting is the name of the style of lighting as it is taught in photography programs throughout the nation.

I'm half italian. The squirrel thing is ridiculous.Your pronounce of "chiaroscuro" is quite good, but not perfect. You've got the chiaro part right, but you say something like "skeeooro" for scuro and that's wrong.Guess it's because in english you say "u" as if there was an "e" before("eeoo").Italians pronounce "u" like "oo" so, far from being a phonetics expert as you can see, you should pronounce it as if it was "skooro".Nice video by the way... Your voice is very nice and your teaching perfect
